Pumped for a Follower product I'm building for @iloAnalytics. I've been writing and re-writing the code for a week, handling Twitter API limits, making sure the system has everyone's followers/unfollowers logged and somehow not kill my server 😅 It's running in production 🤞🏼

I built about 80% of tolta.co, but have been largely distracted with ilo in the past ~month. I just got Tolta's second paying customer. $20 MRR 😁 It's validation that the product is useful (I use Tolta every day). With some marketing, it could grow.

I made a little marketing app for @iloAnalytics (hopefully the first of many). To test the waters, I built a simple tool for finding out your Twitter ID. My ID is 5264. What's yours? ilo.so/twitter-id/ pic.twitter.com/MXyNBkKc64

$100k/year is $8.3k/month. 300 customers at $29/month is (I promise you) doable, if you build a good product that's worth $29/mo (or more). It may take time, but it's doable. If your product costs $10/month, you need 834 (!) customers 😬 (ilo is at ~140 after seven months) twitter.com/dvassallo/stat…

My Twitter impressions have nearly doubled (+97%) in the past 30 days. More tweets, but far more impressions per tweet. I'm making this kind "hero" metric far more obvious in an update to ilo's dashboards soon. pic.twitter.com/20cAoGMWgS

I’ve been working hard on recording unfollows in ilo.so. I don’t think I’ll launch it. It’s not something fun to see, the users who have unfollowed you. It’s not a “nice” feature. Maybe there’s a reason unfollower lists aren’t a default in social media.

What’s it called when you build small free products to bring awareness to your main thing? (In my case, side projects for my side projects 😆)

Your priorities on Twitter, in order: 1. Tweet every day 2. Tweet high quality content 3. Tweet when your audience is on Twitter If you can only do the first one, do that. The other two do not matter as much.

I just put a walk-through video on the ilo homepage. Recorded in Loom with a small custom popup script. Feels like it could be useful to explain what ilo can do in a short video. There's also the list of fully public dashboards to explore below, too. pic.twitter.com/GOWNaRzqoB

April has started slowly for @iloAnalytics. About 50% fewer new customers than March's rate. How do you stay positive during a slump? By looking forward to new possibilities? Just grinding as if everything's normal? I'm wondering where everyone went.

Numerical goals are so fickle. You work so hard to reach them and it’s incredibly exciting to get close but once you reach them, they always just end up being just “a number”. A non-event. And you just move on to the next one. (eg followers, subscribers, revenue, salary etc)
