Can anyone recommend a CMS which produces Markdown, but also supports either MDX or shortcodes I can replace with React components? And is user-friendly for non-developers?

Spent the morning switching up my Pricing page 🌈 Goal is to attract more people at $99-$399/mo by making these plans transparent + self-service, instead of hidden in a mysterious "Enterprise" plan. Let's see :) pic.twitter.com/xniYcRh8YZ

@mgreiler We had problems with reliability and had to build several caching layers to be able to serve nested content types fast enough. To be fair it's been a while. Like so many tools, CF seems work well for "hobby blog" or "giant corp" but not so great for in between.

@matiasfha I’m guessing you’re not after google analytics? Otherwise the only free option I know is self-hosting with umami analytics (github.com/mikecao/umami). Only question is if your time isn’t worth the $6 or so for the first tier of plausible or similar :)

@alexstyl Thanks Alex! It does contain less information. I decided to basically make "just" pageviews the only reason to choose one plan or another. So, everything else goes to "virtually unlimited" :) The page also contains a list of features + FAQs + testimonials below the fold.

@surjithctly It's a good question. The platform does way more than just data aggregation. We also revenue attribution via dynamic subids + conversion heatmaps. Hence, the size of the site and traffic is much more relevant than how many transactions we pull via some APIs.

@AndyBeard Yeah, it's a trade off for sure! We only charge based on monetized pageviews (containing at least 1 tracked link) anyways, which seems like a balance between fair and simple. So far, it seems people optimize for completeness over cost. Especially at 100K+ monetized PVs per mo.

@Tawheed Problem is, the customers I want to target are literally 10x or even 100-500x bigger than customers on the lowest plan. I think people with sites of 3M monthly PVs look at it and think "Well, if I have to go custom for 250K, what's 3 million going to cost?"

@AndyBeard Limiting integration count is certainly an option. Plenty of competitors do it. But their only value prop is "we combine your data". We are doing much more than that, and our closest competitors with similar features don't even put pricing on their website :)

@francesmx Tysm! Still early days in terms of building an app that's making real money, but hopefully it works out for both of us 😊

@DesiCochrane Hey Desi! I didn’t, in part the page doesn’t really get enough traffic for an a/b test to yield results in a short time 😜 But I’ll compare the CTR anyway. The data for the plans is in a shared data structure between the marketing site, app, and backend.

@surjithctly @ASpittel I've written a pretty lengthy article about this here (bloggingfordevs.com/link-building-…). It is certainly possible to build links without spamming. But I guess if you are operating sites at a certain size, and you're competing for big terms, this annoying automation is hard to avoid πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

@dominicsawyer Thanks Dominic! Honestly I'd just put it all on the website, but I get the sense that at super high tiers people want to feel like there's room to negotiate :)

@surjithctly Exactly, we do both: on-page analytics and then connect those to conversions that come in through APIs. What makes it "magic" is having both :) You're 100% right and adding a "How it Works" right into the top nav is my next marketing website task!
