When someone who’s not a developer decides to become a no-code builder, my first advice to them is: “Build tiny projects and ship them w/o self judgement” Don’t compare yourself with devs of today Many of them walked the same path YEARS ago and got better over time

Build in public is a skill that compounds over time It is about the courage to ship something that’s still a work in progress It’s about sharing vulnerable parts of you so others can relate It’s about learning by asking for feedback It’s about putting yourself out there

I used to live in a slightly entitled fantasy & expected people to follow me because I was smart Then I took a step back & asked myself the real question: “Why should my audience care about me?” If you don’t show up, create content & add value, you can’t expect an audience

The irony of our times Most people follow other more accomplished people on social platforms like Twitter, IG or CH But instead of looking to learn from their worldview or good habits, they default to comparing themselves Comparison is a thief of joy and a vicious cycle

"Build something people want" BUILD: be a doer, not a talker, show proof of work SOMETHING: a fast enough MVP (using code/no-code) PEOPLE: tap into a niche first, tighter the group the better, ideally you should belong here WANT: users should pay/brag abt your product

The entry fee for greatness in “build in public” is vulnerability

When it comes to creating content (tweets, podcasts, articles or YouTube videos) The best mantra I have: “Explore widely, then exploit deeply” Focus on quantity first until you find the *thing* which resonates with your audience, then focus on quality

When I pick up a new habit, I invest 80% of the time in just showing up and 20% in any marginal optimization The hardest part of a habit is actually keeping it alive

Not sure who said this first but it’s the ultimate North Star for me “Don’t think of it like building a marketing engine for your startup but as building a media company for your niche”

Being a founder today is much closer to being an artist more than ever You have to choose your genre (market), stick with it long enough and produce several small hits (mixtapes), and be nice to your fans (early adopters) And 1 day, you’ll have a SoundCloud moment (viral)
